Where are Lavender Farms in Wisconsin?
As the only lavender farm in north central Ohio, we love talking about lavender and with others who like it, too. We have scoured the web looking for lavender farms in every state and are excited to showcase several lavender farms in Wisconsin in this article.
Before you go further, check out our COMPLETE step-by-step Farm Stand Toolkit to launch and scale your farm stand for more income.
Below are the lavender farms that we discovered and a brief highlight for each of them. Although we have not traveled to any of these farms yet, we are excited to share a little more about them with you.
What Is Available at Lavender Farms in Wisconsin
We love when customers come prepared for their purchase even if it is their first time at our farm. We prefer to think about the 3C’s when visiting a local farm.
What Should I Bring to a Local Lavender Farm in Wisconsin?
Comfortable Shoes
This may seem like an odd idea, but many of our local lavender farms have uneven ground as they are “working farms” where the ground is relatively flat but may be uneven. You should come prepared with closed-toe shoes. Please don’t walk in areas that are not allowed at the farm. It is always best not to run or jump around the lavender plants or animals for your safety and the farm’s well-being.
Coolers
If you are buying refrigerated or frozen items, please come prepared with a cooler. There is nothing worse than buying cold items at a local farm and not having a way to keep it cool during your drive home.
Cash
As Dave Ramsey would say, cash is king! Remember that you will need a way to buy your goods from your local lavender farms. Many local farm stores are self-service and cash is the simplest form of payment where the farmer doesn’t need to pay service fees for selling items. Some local farms use electronic payment methods such as Venmo, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Other farms may have access to a credit card machine.

Are Bees and Other Wildlife Present?
When you visit a local lavender farm in Wisconsin, please be aware that bees and other wildlife are likely present. Please follow the directions of the farmer for how you should address this, but we have found that bees and smaller wildlife like butterflies will typically leave you alone. Of course, if you have allergies to specific plants, animals, or seasonal allergens please come prepared.
When Are The Best Times to Visit Local Lavender Farms in Wisconsin?
The local lavender farms in Wisconsin may have set hours of operation, but weโve discovered that certain times of the season are better than others. For example, if you’re looking to pick up fresh lavender bundles, the best time to visit is during the Summer harvest, typically from late June to August, depending on the growing zone.
Please know that the price of some items may change depending on the season or may be adjusted based on the challenges of the growing conditions during a particular year.

Baraboo, WI
New Life Lavender & Cherry Farm is located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. This Wisconsin lavender farm offers unique lavender products such as lavender linen spray, lavender simple syrup, cherry lavender jam, and more.
From their website: “In 2014, we moved to Wisconsin for a fresh start, leaving behind our home, business, and friends. It was a difficult time of brokenness for our family. Amid the pain, I discovered a photo of a lavender field that brought me peace and joy, and I felt called to create a place for others to heal too.
What began as a dream turned into a two-year journey of hard work, research, and rebuilding. In 2015, we purchased 40 acres and an old farmhouse, eventually demolishing it to make way for our farm. In 2017, we opened after planting over 600 cherry trees and 4000 lavender plants. Now, in 2025, we have over 18,000 lavender plants and 8 acres of wildflowers.
Our lavender farm was created with YOU in mindโa place to decompress, breathe, forgive, and heal. Nine years later, weโve developed products to help with stress, sleeplessness, and skin issues.
Though our familyโs story has been shaped by challenges, Aron and I continue to run the farm together, believing God isnโt done with this land. We canโt wait to welcome you.”

From their website: “Hello! We are Lee and Bety Sheldon. Both Lee and I (Betsy) grew up and graduated from Viroqua, WI and married in 2012. Lee is a full-time union commercial/industrial electrician. Betsy is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. We have three girls, Loralei who is 9, and our twins Layelle and Larkin who are 6 years old.
In 2018, we bought a home with 15 acres, and it had everything we were asking for. After settling in our new Cashton home, we thought about a crop we could grow to help get our ‘city’ girls outside, show them hard work, and provide a fruitful future for them. We chose to grow lavender. However, the learning curve was steep!
Our first 2 years were trialโฆ and mostly error, but we didn’t give up and turned those errors into knowledge. This is our 5th year (2024) planting and growing lavender. We have about 700 established plants in the ground and plan to expand to 1,000 in 2025. We are so very grateful for the beauty of our property and the strength of our family. Our driftless region lavender farm is located near Cashton, WI.
We make our own lavender products, using all the parts of our lavender plants. We make a wide variety of products along with selling lavender bundle bouquets and buds. Our most popular products include lip balm, lavender stuffed and weighted teddy bears, sprays, sleep masks, bath bombs, lavender lemonade and much more. We love all things lavender and are always excited to learn different ways we can use it.”

Old School Farmstead is located in Darien, Wisconsin. This lavender farm in Wisconsin got its start many years ago as a schoolhouse. Today you will find a variety of lavender products including lavender syrup, lavender soap, lavender whipped body butter, and more at this historic property.
From their website: “Old School Farmstead is a historic property originally built in 1847 as a school and church for Allenโs Grove. It changed hands and purposes over the years, becoming a family home by 2018, when we fell in love with it. The brick building sits on five acres of oak trees and vintage school playground equipment that our daughter enjoys.
Our journey to lavender farming began in 2018 when we were dealing with a mosquito infestation. After researching ways to combat them, lavender came up repeatedly, so we planted a few plants. In 2020, we expanded by purchasing 10 acres of farmland and decided to grow lavender, which thrives in our conditions.
In early 2021, we started Old School Farmstead LLC, planting over 4,000 lavender plants. Our plans include filling the full 10 acres with 40,000 plants, building a processing barn, and opening the farm to agritourism.
Our family is excited to share this journey with you, and yes, the mosquitoes have mostly moved on!

Kewaunee, WI
The Glen Innish Farm is located in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. This lavender farm in Wisconsin offers beef, sheep, lavender, gardens, and more.
From their website: “In 2021, we planted our first 100 lavender plants – 20 plants of 5 different varieties. This was our test plot to see if the plants would survive our winters this close to Lake Michigan. We were pleasantly surprised how well they did. In just 2 short years, we had our first lavender field.
After years of research we decided on two varieties of lavender. Grosso is a high oil producing and wonderful smelling lavender that provides great long spikes of lavender. Munstead is a more culinary lavender that we feel has great taste.
In the summer of 2023 and after several hours with stakes, rope and a couple cans of spray paint, we had our fields laid out. We opted for a more intricate pattern – the graze pathways of our lavender field form the 4 outer circles of our logo. The 5th Circle is a seating area, where our guests can sit and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our lavender while looking out over the rolling pastures.”

Lomira, WI
Purple Thumb Lavender is located in Lomira, Wisconsin. This Wisconsin lavender farm offers a variety of lavender products including lavender bath salts, lavender neck wraps, dried lavender, and more.
From their website: “A man who loved country life bought a hundred-acre farm, where he and his wife raised chickens, cattle, and grew vegetables, apples, and other crops. They had three daughters who helped around the farm. Sadly, the man passed away young, leaving the farm too much for his widow and daughters to maintain. They sold the cattle and rented out the fields, and the girls grew disinterested in country life.

Years later, two of the sisters rediscovered their love for the land and, inspired by visits to lavender farms, decided lavender was the perfect fit. Now, the farm blooms with lavender, apples, and honeybees, with grandkids playing in the fields. Every spring, new lavender is planted, and handmade body and home care products are created to share with friends and customers.”

Richland Center, WI
The Lavender Experiment is located in Richland Center, Wisconsin. This Wisconsin lavender farm is growing several hundred lavender plants where they are focusing on all things lavender.
From their website: “In June 2023, we took a leap of faith and expanded the farm with Phase 3, planting 400 lavender plugs to fuel our business growth. This project, over a year and a half in the making, began with clearing the land, tilling, and creating rows that took advantage of the landโs natural contours. The soil proved perfect for lavender, but we faced challenges with Canadian Thistles, which we managed with a boom sprayer.
We then focused on proper drainage, creating raised beds and laying 800 feet of landscape fabric to control the weeds. With the help of friends, family, and the right tools, we planted the lavender, spacing each plug 30 inches apart and watering them every 3 days through a drought. Amazingly, only three plants were lost.
In August, weโll trim the lavender to promote strong root growth, and decide whether to cover them for the winter. The journey continues!”
