From the website:
“Aliโi prided himself on having an impeccable and ever-changing canvas for all eyes and took considerable pride in his work and the work of his staff. The farm illuminates the life Aliโi lived and the legacy he left behind. His art of growing plants and utilizing the resources available to him helped Aliโi to transcend his role as a farmer to a master gardener and visionary, as well. Much more than a working lavender farm, AKL is a botanical garden filled with the artifacts and collectibles that Aliโi gathered in his many years of travel and entrepreneurship.”

Ali’i Kula Lavender Focuses on Sustainable Agriculture
It has been our experience that many lavender farmers focus on regenerative and sustainable agriculture as a way to give back to the land and better serve our environment. Ali’i Kula Lavender is no different.

AKL produces products that enrich the quality of life by evoking joy, rejuvenation, comfort and serenity. Each product is carefully made using natural, botanical and organic ingredients as often as possible. As a lifestyle company, we are animal and earth friendly and encourage our visitors and guests to do the same. AKL hopes to play an integral role in supporting sustainable economies through agri-tourism and support our community based business model through agricultural education.”
Tips For Shopping at Ali’i Kula Lavender in Maui, Hawaii

What Should I Bring to Ali’i Kula Lavender?
Comfortable Shoes
This may seem like an odd idea, but many of our local lavender farms have uneven ground as they are “working farms” where the ground is relatively flat but may be uneven. You should come prepared with closed-toe shoes. Please don’t walk in areas that are not allowed at the farm. It is always best not to run or jump around the lavender plants or animals for your safety and the farm’s well-being.

Coolers
If you are buying refrigerated or frozen items, please come prepared with a cooler. There is nothing worse than buying cold items at a local farm and not having a way to keep it cool during your drive home.
Cash
As Dave Ramsey would say, cash is king! Remember that you will need a way to buy your goods from your local lavender farms. Many local farm stores are self-service and cash is the simplest form of payment where the farmer doesn’t need to pay service fees for selling items. Some local farms use electronic payment methods such as Venmo, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Other farms may have access to a credit card machine.
Are Bees and Other Wildlife Present?
When you visit a local lavender farm in Georgia, please be aware that bees and other wildlife are likely present. Please follow the directions of the farmer for how you should address this, but we have found that bees and smaller wildlife like butterflies will typically leave you alone. Of course, if you have allergies to specific plants, animals, or seasonal allergens please come prepared.
When Are The Best Times to Visit Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm?
